Anime

'cause we need a topic to just chat about anime. I know most of you on this forum have seen some kind of anime one way or another. So just chat here about it.

Recently I have come to love an anime called Star Driver. It. Is. Awesome. It has pretty boys, giant robots, scenery porn (not person on person kind, but where the scenery is all really very pretty and stuff), an adorable little fox, epic battle scenes, and lots of shiny stuff~
You should watch it. You can find the anime on animefreak.tv and the episodes there are of good quality and they are subbed ('cause the series isn't dubbed yet). There's about 14 episodes out so far and sometime this month (I forget when exactly) it'll come out on DVD in Japan. The OST (original soundtrack) will also come out. Which I can't wait for because then I'll be able to hear some songs from the anime that play. When you do hear it in the anime, people are talking over it and stuff so it's not just the song.

Anyways.

I was in Physics the other day, and two of my lab buddies started going off on a tangent about anime.
So while I was trying to write the lab report, I was also listening to their anime chat.

Apparently any and all dubs are evil.

I don't like English dubs very much. It just seems that they go really cheap on their voice actors. I mean, spongebob has better voice acting than most animes I've heard in English.

I think he's one of the better voice actors <.< and Funimation is pretty good with their dubs, I think...well, okay, most of them. I don't really like their soul eater one. The voices just don't have the same emotion they do in japanese, atleast I don't hear it.

It's...obnoxious.

I like Hetalia, but I'm not one of those obsessed fans. The series is funny and the English voice acting isn't that bad. I just think somehow the Japanese voice actors are able to get the emotion right so much better than English voice actors.

Vic is pretty good at voice acting. He's cool.

I have a friend that would adamantly disagree with that statement.
And then she would go in depth about why Vic is a horrid voice actor...and then why he shouldn't be used in Hetalia and how bad his voice is and how he doesn't fit in...

Yeah, she's not too found of Vic Mignogna

I'm not obsessed over Hetalia XD I haven't even watched the third episode yet and I started watching it about a week ago XD well...no, since before the 7th XD

I'm in the second season of it, but I haven't watched any of the recent episodes. Though, speaking of catching to most recent episodes, I have some animes I need to check! It's after Friday, so some should have most likely updated~

I am watching Darker Than Black.

It is quite interesting, yup yup.

I didn't like the Loveless/DNAngel manga so much.

-gasp- really? lol

I liked those mangas. Though, Loveless hasn't updated at all in forever, and the last person to have done a scanlation failed at it. They failed so hard.

Kyla was the one to get me hooked on DNAngel.
